I recently bought Phil's book and I'm working my way through. I tested my paper (Azo grade 2 new) using my spot meter set up the way it is described in the book though mine is a digital. I'm ready to start the film test, here is my question. I don't have a densitometer that reads color, it only reads transmission B&W. Should I use a blue filter when reading or can I plot the readings using some (unknown to me) factor to compensate? My step tablet is calibrated and when I read it using my densitometer it agreed with the readings supplied with the tablet.
I'm developing with pyrocat-p.
