I am back from Arizona. I spent a week with Fred Newman up in Page,Az. We shot in the Antelope canyons(very new to me). I went out armed with my zone VI camera , 100tmax, and my palm pilot loaded with my newly calibrated BTZS film test. In this very tricky lighting with extreme SBRs, my thoughts were repeatedly, " If I can just put this all together I just might get the "shot of a lifetime". I've processed half of the 100tmax sheets and am in the process of processing the rest. For extremes I used DI#13 and for the rest DDX 1+6. To get a sneak preview I scanned a few negatives. All I can say at this point is that if I can print the negatives as glorious as they images appear on the monitor I will have gotten several shots of a lifetime! I have really come to appreciate the enabiling power of BTZS! The uniformity, accuracy and usablity of my negatives has become almost second nature. I really appreciate the hugh gift Phil Davis has given us in BTZS. Thanks Phil!
