This morning I had an e-mail from a photographer responding to my request to hear from others about their experiences with BTZS. I erased it, thinking it was simply a copy of a message that had appeared in this forum. In fact it was an e-mail to me only. Howard, if you are out there, would you be willing to put a new copy of that letter into this thread? I wanted BTZS'ers to share their experiences with the whole BTZS community, not just me personally.
Howard's letter remined me of my own BTZS "Aha!" moment, that is, the moment when I understood that the whole point of the exercise was to make negatives that fit my particular printing paper at my chosen contrast grade. Obvious now, of course, but quite a revelation at the time. |
