Now that I've had a chance to get familiar with the Expo/Dev program I have some questions. 1. It appears to me that the program uses the EV's that are input along with other values to compute the development time as normal or N-1 or N+1, etc without my having to do that. Is that correct? 2. It also appears that it gives a warning when the EV input will not provide the zone placements I have indicated without using a development time that is outside the bounds of the film in question. Also correct? 3. This is all based on the data you sent me for 100 TMax rated at an exposure index of 100. My personal EI might be different and I think this is what you meant by doing the film test using exposures you send me for development and then based on the result sending me data based on those results. Is this correct? 4. If the above is true I'm wondering how the exposures are handled. I assume you send them in some light-tight packaging, I then load them into my drum for the JOBO and, using some dilution and development time values you give me, do a development and send the resulting negatives back to you. You then construct a .xdf file for me. Let me know if this is correct and then I'll give a call and arrange for this. |
