Dear Phil my problem of the blank films has been located. I had lost my Minolta IV F meter, before going on a long trip, and used a gossen Luna Pro S and a Soligor spot sensor-II, thinking the all sensors were the products of industry standards. It was an ardous process to locate the exact cause. Both Soligor and Luna-Pro are, what I now call, stand alone meters. Once you understand the meters, they are roughly in the ball park as to exposure acuracy. However their EV readings are no match for the EXPO program in my Palm III, they are both way off. The lost Minolta meter, I believe was somewhat acurate, but must besure before I go and get an replacement. Phil, my questions are: 1. What must I look for in a meter that will work with the EXPO program and obtain the highest acuracy. 2. Do you recomend a certain or certain meters? 3. Are there acuracy tests one can do to to make sure a meter is ok before going out on a shoot and what to adjust?
I am not upset about all of this, but it sure was a hassle to get to the bottom of it. Thanks, Fredrik. |
