I think that you have to click next to see the next question even if it's in the same thread. I just discovered all the other questions in here, and I should look up answers there too, I'm sure my questions are being asked already.

As to what I mean by 'harsh' I believe it's what you described in D-Max Newsletter as 'pasty highlights' where the difference between the middle grays and the highlights doesn't have a real nice transition. So I am guessing from your description that I am looking for a paper with a long toe, and a shoulder that doesn't exhibit much of a curve at the max speed point. (If I understood your description correctly)

I'll wait for the paper to get here, and I will work with what I have left of the Bromofort and the new Seagull G. Incidentally I got the #2 Grade, which if I recall you had measured the #3 grade to be more like a #2, but I felt that the #3 test you had in D-Max has too short a toe, and was thinking the #2 will exhibit a longer one, more to my liking. and if it's not, hey it's just paper, and there will be a purpose for it at some point. I'll also test it with various developers. I usually use the Illford Universal Developer, but I'll test with D-76 and Selectol Soft which I use from time to time.

Thanks as always.
