In your answer to a message of Walter Glover dated: 20:41 15 Apr 03, you question yourself openly "I wish I could think of some way to interest more photographers...".
I readed a little bit on this site, forums and articles, just enough to make me curious so I bought your book for $10.00 (used), I haven't received it yet. I'm technically inclined so it was not difficult to raise my curiosity but I must say that beside a strong tendency to market your products which I have nothing against in a way, there isn't much meat to bite in on the site.
Very often when things get interesting in the forums the answers are given directly to those who ask questions. One practically must have the software and the book to appreciate and since it's not my case yet and that most of the time I have a limited idea of the terms people use here it makes it very difficult to follow.
I think you and or the persons that help you for this site should make a strong effort to expose the principles and terms in much more depth. I don't think people in general will be attracted by techniques and numbers alone, I think this knowledge and techniques have the potential to make my life, as a photograph, easier, simpler, more efficient, etc. This way I'll be able to concentrate on the art part a lot more, just like a digital camera does for many people.
I perfectly understand I need the knowledge and a systematic approach to control the physical and chemistry involved in silver based photography, that's the craft as Ansel Adams put it. As soon as that part is mastered and only then can one envisage making photographs with some artistic value on a regular basis. One as to remember also that LF is not for everyone which make the potential market much smaller.
