At the film plane we are dealing with DEPTH OF FOCUS rather then DEPTH OF FIELD.
In Stroebel the formaula given is:
Depth of Focus = 2 x (f-number) x (acceptable circle of confusion)
It is from this equation that Sinar calculate the indicated depth of field on their camera dials.
