I finally run my first film test in my new darkroom I used Delta400/xtol 1+1 @ 72F. this is my 1st use of Delta 400 and what I noticed was that the b+f seems to be substantial and I had a time deciding a good starting point for the test exposure. None the less I did the test using the btzs tubes and a mantis densitometer. I used the winplotter program. According to the charts I get an effective film speed for Delta400/xtol 1+1 combo of 600 to 900 for a Gradient of 0.4 to 0.9. Is this possible? Well I just loaded the film data into my Palm tungsten/t and 2 4X5 film holders and I am heading out the backdoor to see if this "increase" in speed is real. What errors on my part might push the film speed spuriously up? |
