Phil --
Different film/developer combinations may be affected differently by development temperature changes but looking for a conversiion factor is still worthwhile. The factor should be applied to the average gradient number, rather than to the development time, because times aren't necessarily related consistently to development effect; as, for example, when the developer is diluted.
As a general rule of thumb, I'd suggest considering a 5% change for each Fahrenheit degree of difference, applied to the average gradient. For example, divide your normal G-bar by 1.25 (0.5 becomes 0.4) to arrive at an approximate new value. You can fine tune it from there. |
