I think this is a really good idea Jorge. I have been considering more consistent ways of exposing film for testing.
I have been 'playing' around with LED's and a polycarb diffusion sheet in a box. The spectrum problem is also there with LED's. I was thinking of trying some of the new tri-colour LED's and electronically controlling the output power. Maybe a flash tube would be more suitable?
In my initial trials with LED's I found it quite difficult to get and even illumination across the polycarb sheet. Small LED's and a 4x5" area is not as easy to evenly illuminate as one would think.
I wish I had more time, perhaps this winter?
