Hi Jorge, I use to test my film with a Flash gun. The flash is on a stand near the camera and in the same axis as the lens. I shot a white wall, the distance is around 2 meters. I shot with a 150 mm focus at infinity. For a 100 ISO film I set my spot/flashmeter (a minolta flashmeter VI) to 3 ISO. The flash is on a manual mode, full power and new batteries. The shutter speed is set to 1/30, the more consistant speed of my shutter (tested with a calumet shutter tester). The results are very consistant. The last film I have tested with these method is the 100 Era film. It is easier for me than using a enlarger. I have redone the test for the 100 Acros and I obtain the same curves than with the enlarger way. So it works for me. |
