Do all gradients of 0.45 look the same? |

I process negatives either in BTZS tubes or in a JOBO drum depending on how many negatives I have to develop. In BTZS tubes I'll use DDX 1+6, in the JOBO I'll use DDX 1+9. If two correctly exposed step tablet are processed as above with a targeted gradient of 0.45, I would expect the two plotted curves to look identical. If however, I were to develope two identical landscape shots with lots of great sky/clouds (or lots of rich dark texture) will the two negatives print identically? What impact does varying dilution rates have on grain, acutance or anything else? |
