H Phil, Recently I visited America and was given a copy of BTZS -- I read it on the 14 hour flight back to Australia and have a couple of questions.
I'm used to thinking in terms of zone 1 and zone 8 but notice you have set fb + fog as .1 which I understand but useful highlights are a reasonably low density as there is only 1.0 [usually in a norml scene] increase in density to what i would consider zone 8.
Am I misunderstanding something. I realise "zones" are not really how the BTZS works but the highlight density seems low. Mind you most of my life I have battled with blown highlights.
Thank you for the explanaition of incident light as well. It has always been my chosen metering method but now I understand why it works
I realised halfway over the ocean that I need a 21 step stouffer wedge so will need to get that to do my testing.
If there are any Australian forum members who would be prepared to loan a step wedge I would be grateful.
