Your spotmeter is not taking into account the "density" contribuited by the developer stain. As King states in his article you really need to use a densitometer with a blue channel to have more accurate readings. This is specially important with Pyrocat HD since the stain and density proportions are not linear. I am in Mexico so if you dont mind spending a few bucks on mail send me your step wedges and I will gladly read them for you. If you have the Winplotter I can plot them in my pc and e mail you the file while you wait to get your step wedges back from the mail.
