After having read and looked at numerous articles concerning the density differences of Pyro stained neg's I was wondering if I am doing this correctly. My question is this: Using my spotmeter and the homemade stand described in the BTZS book am I getting a true density reading or do I need to adjust this reading for the pyro stain? Am I not just reading visual light? Most articles I am reading say I need to read the blue channel to get accurate density's using Pyro (Pyrocat-HD). According to the article by Sandy King and the attached curves it would appear that the above statement is true???? Any thoughts or idea's would be greatly appreciated. |
