I had a really weird go of it in the darkroom when I set out to recalibrate my prsp after my spot meter went bad. I keep getting results with abnormally high contrast value. I tracked the problem down to a compensation timer. Now I'm back on track! I field tested my stuff vs the published stuff and the the resultant test prints were remarkably similar. The negs all looked good and the contrast ranges were exactly as predicted. I used up about 30 sheets of film getting back on track but I sure know more about the materials. though I have my newly recalibrated spot meter back I also have learned how to use my luna pro properly using the incident metering method. I'd say it was well worth the trouble... Miles |
