My understanding is that ExpoDev applies a filter factor for the increased exposure, however, there is no change in development. When filters are used in the exposure, we're expanding the subject SBR and as such, we're now on another curve requiring lower film speed( increased exposure) along with reduced development. Using filters by holding them in front of the incident meter to read the SBR increase(vs no filter) in the desired shadow area seems to be more in keeping with the BTZS film exposure approach. I'd like to hear from others on the subject. |
