I not that trying to expose my ISO 100 speed film (Acros)for film testing I seem to be closer to an EV of 3.3 than to 4. In researching this I have noted the following. In Beyond the Zone system (4th edition)I note that in this case .4 seconds is used versus the .5 seconds noted in the recent Phil Davis artiles. Additional I am using a Heiland Splitgrade head on my Saunders enlarger. This head waits for the lamp to come to full brightness before opening the shutter. As a result I assume that is could be worth about .3 stops or so getting me close to the EV 3.3 that I am finding. Does this make sense? |
