I need some thoughts from the group on a particular topic. I have often heard statements such as "HP5 developed with XTOL" (or any other combo) has the "longest tonal scale of any film. If I understand BTZS correctly such a statement could be tested by comparing several film/development combinations through the use of a step tab projected or contact printing onto the same brand of printing paper. I would think that a visual comparison would settle the issue. Any correction or thoughts on this question would be appreciated. Jerry Cunningham |
