Those "max" and "min" categories are a little misleading. "Max" refers to E7 (maximum exposure and development) and "min" refers to A1 (minimum increase in exposure and minimum development). The confusing part is the numerical factor that reduces development progressively from "5" (no affect on development) to "1" but then increases it from "5" to "7". Most film/devs require reduced development (1 to 4) but a few need a contrast boost so numbers "6" and "7" are appropriate. |
