If we are talking of the same Henry talbot who shared a Melbourne studio with Helmut Newton then yes, he was a wonderful, talented and charming man.
Both Henry and Helmut, and many others, are indicative of the wealth of talent and inspiration that Australia benefitted from as a result of post-war European migration. A repeat of the US experience of the early 20th Century I should think.
While it may not have much to do directly with the BTZS business, I do make the observation that in these days of tighter immigration policies that the same dispersal of culture and intellect can pervade national boundaries through this wonderfully egalitarian medium of the internet and communities such as this.
