Sandy --
I'm sorry to say the chances of our getting an updated Mac PlotterPlus are slim to vanishing. Writing these prorams is a lot of work, and if it weren't for Davis Rude's generous contribution of time and expertise we wouldn't have the present WinPlotter, either. Over the years a dozen or more programmers have volunteered to write an upgrade for the Mac but they've all disappeared without a trace. There is slim hope that one of them is still interested but I haven't heard from him in quite a while. Believe me, if we CAN get a modern Mac upgrade you'll hear about it!
If you should decide to work with the PC version (which is a very elegant, professional program) you'll find that it runs nicely in "Virtual PC" and, in fact has the advantage of supporting drag and drop file transfers between Windows and the Mac OS. I have both Windows 98 and XP (home) but I'd recommend 98 as being less expensive and considerably faster (make that "less slow") in the emulation. |
