Yes, EVs are equivalent to stops. The "normal" SBR is about 7 stops but that assumes the range from textured shadows to textured highlights under conditions of hazy sunlight—and, of course, it depends on how you measure. A "full sunlight" condition is likely to be a little more contrasty than "normal," perhaps 8 stops or a bit more. |
