Just a further note on barrel lenses. I shot today in a low light situation and produced two identical negatives as far as visual density and appearance. The negs were shot in two very different light conditions and both required exposure compensation. The first was a 3.5 second exposure with the second shot at 10.5 secs. I'm blown away by the way the ExpoDev software has given me two such printable negs. No matter where I shoot now I have confidence that my negs will always be perfect -- if only the compositions were as well.
