Well, since nobody answered I guess I will give it a shot.
I learned this from Les McClean at the APUG forum. Go out, preferably with a roll camera and take your incident measurements, then apply the manufacturers filter factor and expose 1 frame at the indicated exposure, one at one stop less and one at one stop more. If you include a gray card and can measure densities, measure the transmission density of the gray card, the frame that has it around .65 will be the factor you want to use. You can then print this frame and see how you like it. You might even like it a bit more over or under exposed. |
