for most accuracy you will need to test your film in the same manner in which you plan to work with those film sizes. IMHO the tubes are very easy and consistent to work with. I never liked tray development because of the risk of scratches and the temperature drifts of the solution. However , some people are very good at tray developing ...its an art that needs to be mastered. Good luck.
