Elliot: The focusing issue of far-near and 1/2 between is OK. However, I recommend you take a verrrry close look at an article by Robert B. Hallock, PhD, of U.Mass. published in Sept/Oct,'06 in View Camera. Hallock discusses your issue in great detail and what makes his article so complete is that he ties the lens f-stop setting to the circle of confusion(COC) as it relates to the eyes ability to viewing the final print. If you can't get a copy, let me know and I'll mail you a copy. This is the best article I've ever seen on the subject. I've seen other data which is not as "sharp" as his. |
