Thank you David. I should have been more clear. I meant to ask how the densities from the step tablet are converted to the exposure units on the x-axis. For example, a step tablet density of 1.5 is not transcribed directly onto the x-axis. I do know that there is a log transform done. I was thinking that the step tablet densities are first converted into transmision values (T^(-D)) and then the log of this is taken. I'm just not sure about this as I can not easily go from the step tablet densities to expsure units on the x-axis. |
