Phil,
First off I think something might be askew w/the power dial. I will email my charts to you seoeratlet but I offer the other info here. I am using FP4 and I set the power dial to 100 as per Fred. Today I went outside and had a perfect SBR of 7. My HI was 15 and the LO was 13...exactly. My meter is a Minolta Incident meter and I set that at 100 as well. Now when I enter 15 and 13 on the Power Dial (exactly) I turn it over and it shows an SBR of 6.66 (6-2/3). Okay so is this allright? I would think it should register an even SBR of 7, right? Anyways when I look at the ES value of 1.10 (for my Forte GR 2), follow that line down to the Gradient area to be read I see .62-.63. Okay, great. Then I consult my Gradient chart it shows a development time of right around 9 1/2 min. Then when I look over at the SBR chart for dev. times and line up the 6.66(reading from power dial) I see a dev. time for 7 1/2 min!! That's more than a slight difference and I can't figure it out. I asked Fred and he said use the gradient chart as that's more accurate. However, I am new at this and on a tremendous learning curve and something tells me to stop and clear this up prior to going on any further. I hope this explains the situation better and hope we can get to the bottom of it. Thanks very much.
