l don't think that's necessarily the case but I'd have to see the curves to be reasonably certain. it's hard to relate exposure changes to density changes without knowing the gradient of the curve and its contour. I think you might reasonably expect densities in the mid range (V and VI, perhaps) to change in concert as exposure is varied but I doubt that that would be true of the extreme zones.
