Thanks Philippe,
Since I posted that message, I did a bit more research and set the PSP at 250 in my Plotter program to match the test "ASA triangle" PSP of 250. This is what Phil suggested in one of his posts.
Now I show the following: 5.6 min is asa 80- at SBR 7.7 to 16 min is asa 100++ at SBR 4.1 using the .01 over FB+F selection.
and 5.6 min is 80++ at SBR 7.7 to 16 min is asa 100- at SBR 4.1 using the Approximate CI selection.
Iam wondering if I need a 4 minute test as well for higher SBR's
I'm still confused about film test calibration though. In many posts Phil and the other posters refer to calibrating their step tablet test using an EV of 4 at an exposure time that gives a PSP of 240. Other times they refer to specific film and developer combinations that provide the PSP of 240. For example TMX - DDX+6. In this case the Plotter is left at the default PSP of 240.
Do you use the Plotter and what is the PSP that you use? Do you use the Approximate CI selection that Phil seems to favor?
Thanks again. Steve |
