Hi Steve,
I'm probably missing something here, but are you doing your own testing and are you using BTZS as a system or bits of it?
If you haven't done so you need to do your own PSP test for any testing you are doing yourself. When you have that you will then be able to test any film/developer combo very accurately and trust your data.
I would have thought you would have a 4 minute development time as that gives you the largest SBR your film/developer combination can handle.
Some film developer combinations are very poor in the SBR they acheive while others are exceptional.
I don't use Acros so cannot comment on the capabilities of that film/developer but I would imagine an SBR of 9 should be easily achieved with a slightly more dilute developer. This will move development times higher to achieve your "normal" contrast of .55 - .62.
I cannot say I have noticed any real difference using CI or .1 over base fog. Phil recommends CI so that is certainly good enough for me
This is a great forum as it is specific to the problems we all face or have faced.
If you are on Skype and wish to talk this through contact me via email.
Steve
