Jorge will be the one to help you with this one but what paper , developer and concentration, dev time and temp, and densitometer or sensitometer are you using. This may be helpful. Also, did you process your test trips together at one time in one fresh batch of developer. Are you hand drawing your curves or is the BTZS software doing it for you(recommended imho)? I my experience the closer your results look compared with Phil's the better off you will ultimately be. There is some variation depending on our indivual techniques and materials but the results tend to be more "tweaking" than "profound". In other words If Jorge (who I have never met but whose results I admire) publishes his curves with a certain set of materials and parameters and I decide to use his published curves I most likely will get resonably close to his results if I use the same materials. We are talking about technical results here not aesthetic results . However I would most likely have to tweak my technigue with his data to get what I need from that same data. In fact I have simply tried using published curves from others for a quick look to see if I might be interested in the film/dev/paper combo and was amazed at how close I got to the same published results! For ultimate accuracy however you have to establish your own workflow and standards. Sounds like you are on your way. Keep it up.
