Hi Elliot, 31 steps would require a rewrite of the entire WinPlotter software. Myself I have never found any practical limitations with 21 steps. I know Ben Wilbur, also on this list, actually plots by hand so I cannot say for certain if 31 steps would be practical or not done manually. I think Phil did address this issue at one stage but I cannot say where. From my recollection [dangerous at best ] Phil indicated the software gave very accurate intermediate values by "french curve" style interpolation.
