Barry: Perhaps this data will help-My first shot at D100, @ 70F, D-76 @1/1, EV 4 (Besler enlarger, color head; f16, 14'', with my Nikor 210 lens mounted on the enlarger set @ 1/2 sec) placed the speed point at #19 (D=2.85)step tablet. I developed 2 exposed films; 1 @ 9.0 min and 1@ 6.0 min. This result suggested I needed to shift the curves 1.5 stops to #16 step (2.4 D). I then reexposed 2 films- @ 1/4 sec (1 stop change) and reset the enlarger @ 20'' to get EV= 3.5 (1/2 stop). Processing as before the 9 min curve had a G = .72, the 6 min G= .52. The iso triangle fell perfectly between the 2 curves on # 16 step @ 2.4 D. I don't have the computer/softwear/palm etc. I do all calcs. and plots by the old fashion "grind- it- out" approach. I make my own small graph charts to carry in the field on my tripod. Hope this will help "focus" your tests. Ben Wilbur |
