Ok, since I could not wait to get the money to buy a palm and the programs I decided to go ahead and use the workbook that has been sitting on my shelve for years. So yep folks...curves done by hand with a french curve.
Anyway, I have plotted my paper tests and now I am going to the film test. So here is my question. I have determined I want a DR of 1.8 for printing in palladium. According to the book the ISO triangle is for a 0.1 over B+F, SBR of 1.3 and DR of 0.8. Should I change the "side" of the triangle to represent a DR of 1.8 or should I determine the EFS with the normal triangle? As I understand it, the SBR still the same, all I am doing is developing to a higher G bar to get the necessary contrast. |
