I love the concept of the tube system for developing films. I exposed 6 sheets on the past weekend and they all had different development times. I was never very good at patting my stomach and rubbing my head but I'm learning the process with tubes at different development times.
  Questions:
Agitation is not at all difficult with the tubes but how fast should it be?
I'm taking 3 seconds to roll my hand over 6 tubes in a continuous light dragging motion from the back to the front of the water bath. Phil -- in terms of seconds as I've described how long do you take?
What methods are people using to dry the tubes and are you wiping the interior with a cloth at all?
Is anyone using a hardening fixer? My film of choice is Efke 100 and it is a very soft emulsion.
