Since I lost all my files I am doing it right this time, calibrating the set up, etc. My question has to do with moving the density range up the curve for printing in pt/pd.
pt/pd has terrible separation in the shadows, so instead of using 0.3 as the shadow density with detail I would like to use 0.6. Of course if I want to have a DR of 1.4 my densities would be 0.6 and 2.0 respectively for shadows and highlights. Is it possible to obtain a DR to produce these densities by lowering the PSP a little on a set up that gives a PSP of 2.4
For example I know my set up now gives me the correct speeds with a PSP of 2.4, but I would like to add another stop, so I would set the PSP to 2.7 instead. Am I thinking right?   |
