Jerold: Scratches sounds to me like exposed filler used in the plastic tubes. I suggest you try using WET Fine Grit enery paper(400)to sand the tube interior(s). If your nails are causing the scratches, file them as well. This next approach is a "long shot", but you might try lining a tube with MYLAR (DuPont Trademark)film which is also a polyester film like the photo film base. Mylar has a "tooth surface" and may afford some "grab" to the film holding it when you go to the stop bath. |
