I would like to make some film tests, but first of all I would like to understand the basics from the BTZS book. Something I cannot figure out is the way to calculate exposure for the film test. From the book it seems very empirical and not very accurate. Basically after trying to have an EV=4 the time would be 2/5 sec. It seems to me that the exposure should be much more accurate and carefully choosen. Not just giving more or less depending of how much black stripes we see.
I must be missing something... Any idea? |
