Again, thanks to Phil and David for their comments.

This is an update on my attempts to smooth the curves.

I finally found a way to smooth the curves. As noted earlier, in edit mode the curves look fine to me and it is virtually impossible to see the bumps and dips that may b e there. However, what I found was that if I looked carefully at the curve in analysis mode, and noted exactly where the hump or dip was located on X-axis of exposure (2.2, 1.3, .9,etc), I could then go back to edit mode and move the curve up or down from exactly that point to adjust for what I observed in analyis mode. It is a fairly tedious procedure because I feel that I am almost working in the blind in making the adjustment in edit mode, but in the end, after about 30 minutes of carefull eyeballing the curves and moving points around I was able to produce a curve that both looks good in analyis mode, and also prints out well.

Plotter for Windws is a neat program and has many nice features not found on the earlier Mactinosh program. However, for whatever the reason, my experience is that it was much, much easiser and less time consuming to adjust the curves on the old program. But at least I have now found a way to do so effectively.
