Gentlemen,
Thank you both very much for the data. I already had the newsletter with the curve families but had forgotten all about it - hopefully it is no worse than a sign of senility!
I put 8 sheets of HP5+ through today in DD-X 1+5 and the results look glorious. Tricky subject — large black wrought iron gates imported from a French château set into a pale Sydney sandstone wall with beige mansion behind - plus lots of vegetation. Beautifully separated low values and well contrlled highlights. Next batches will be some 6 & 8 SBR sheets.
Also among today's batches is a very humorous shot of a small apartment building in a 2nd story window of which is a great expanse of bare derrière clad in just a black thong. Not what one could call callypigian but whimsical never the less. The sort of street photography shot that's the province of 35mm but I chose to use 8x10. That makes me either stupid or brave ... or both!
