Hi Jorge - When I test a new film I just do the 4 minute first. Then I look at the results in plotter. I'm trying to get a subject brightness range of 9 at 4 minutes developing time. If I'm over or under - I'll adjust my dilution. That's how I came up with 1+12.
I started doing this procedure for BTZS film tests for customers when they were using a film and developer combination I was not familiar with. This way they would not have to do the film test again and it saves on film. You can always increase developing time but you really don't want to go below 4 minutes developing time.
I don't think my gamma numbers would do you any good since I didn't do the complete film test.
What film and developer combination are you using that you can't get below a SBR of 6?
