R. Foley --
I found that FP4/76+1 combination to be between 1/2 and 1/3 stop slow; in other words I believe the "real" speed is 100- rather than the published 125. If we assume that your PSP is 2.4 then your test value of 2.33 will rate the film between 1/2 and 2/3 stop slow for an EFS of about 80+. That's pretty close and I'd be inclined to go with it, but if you want to de-rate the film by an even 1/3 stop to match my numbers (which may or may not be ideal) then define your PSP as 2.37 instead of 2.4. Just remember to change the Plotter's default PSP (from 2.4) to 2.37. Then when the Plotter finds a film whose speed point falls on 2.37 it will consider the film to be honestly-rated and use its published ISO speed in its calculations. It will consider your 2.33 test speed point to represent a 1/3-stop speed loss and proceed to calculate with 100 rather than the published 125. |
