HP5+ Reciprocity in Plotter |

I recently made some very long exposures with HP5+ sheet film and found that the negatives were very underexposed. After some investigation I found that the Plotter reciprocity code for HP5+ in Xtol 1+1 is A7. I then compared the reciprocity charts in Plotter with the reported reciprocity characteristics of the film in Ilford's film specs publication. To my surprise they are VERY different. Indeed I found that HP5+ responds very much like a category D film, rather than as an A film. Has anyone else had similar experiences with the Plotter's suggested reciprocity table? |
