I use semi-stand development with BTZS almost exclusively for the past 5 months. My favorite is Tmax 100 in either pyrocat-mc or prescysol-ef and Tmax 400 in the same. I actually got my curves for Tmax 400 from Sandy King and they work perfectly and maade my Tmax 100 curves myself and the results are quite good... what you get is signiganly greater accutance, minimal grain, and a bit smoother tonality...I think its well worth the efford....Because of the longer processing time there also is a bit of serendipitous accuracy built in to the process(less critical times)...I haven't made curves for FP4 but(being a bit lazy) I used my Tmax100 times and the negatives were 1/3 step more exposed and a delight to print...I'll get around to doing the test but right now I just don't feel pushed.... |
