we are around … with the current attention being paid to inkjet and handmade paper coating in alt printing many have turned away from classic silver gelatin printing techniques. The prime reason to learn the Zone system or BTZS was to be able to "fit" a high quality negative on that paper. That process continues. However many of use are using BTZS to produce high quality negatives for alt printing and even contact printing silver gelatin … I estimation is that as long as film is available someone will be using BTZS … of course and can always interact with fellow BTZS'ers on Facebook on the BTZS space ….
