Mike: At first I thought you were refering to roll film. You probably would need to test this size film in sections by cutting down the step wedge. However, I would first try your own suggestion of subbing 4X5 data and shoot the same subject with both formats. IE- set up a series of cards or paper. Craft paper should work well. Include white, several gray shades and black. These can all be placed on a large piece of plywood. Shoot with both formats; bracket the exposure on the smaller format. Do this in an open, evenly lit, shaded area. Develop,etc as with the 4X5 BTZS and compare density data. |
