Luc --

The exposure adjustment function in Plotter is mainly useful for visualizing the effects of exposure variations in the Matcher. For example, "what happens to print gradation if I've overexposed the negative by a stop?"

Don't use this function to "correct" exposure errors in your test setup. It's better to adjust the test exposure by changing light intensity (enlarger height or aperture) as necessary to control the PSP. But there's nothing sacred about the "2.4" target value; If your test setup places the PSP at 2.5, for example, and if the curves' toes are still complete (not chopped off), you can call 2.5 your PSP and work with it. Just be sure to enter this new PSP value into the Plotter in place of the default value.
